From Media to Meaningful Making: Founder Journey

At Sensclo, we believe in the power of stories, woven into textiles and etched in the lives of people. As former journalists, Manjula Sen and Mahesh Balasubramaniam have always been driven by uncovering the extraordinary in the everyday. While Manjula found her canvas in textiles, Mahesh discovered his in bookstores.

Together, they created Sensclo with a purpose: to celebrate craftsmanship, champion sustainability, and bring about meaningful change. By building a strong and visible brand, they aim to spotlight the talents of artisans and craft. a world where tradition and innovation coexist harmoniously.

Mahesh & Manjula

“We are not AI. We are oral history.”, Manjula shared during the session. In a world dominated by fast production and homogenised trends, Sensclo deliberately chooses the opposite path: people-centric, anti-homogenisation and trend-agnostic.
